Congress Hall and Hotel in Palma de Mallorca.
Competition 1st PRIZE

The origin of the form derives from the microclimatic conditions of the site and its urban location: the irregular silhouette of a steamboat with a front facade featuring recesses and indentations which provide a degree of shade.

A very long linear building which adheres to the alignments and gradients, covered in a unique material with an irregular silhouette, the result of the singularity of the program’s pieces which transversely cross the building; in this way the building is incorporated into both the metropolitan scale of the bay of Palma as well as into the nearest maritime promenade and to the city’s lateral pathways.
